Halltech's Cold-Core™ philosophy is to keep the intake air as cold as possible, for as long as possible. Cold air isn't just the name of the product. It's the objective.

This Cold-Core™ Beehive™ Heat Shield is specifically designed to fit the Halltech Killer Bee™ cold-air intake system on C6 Corvettes. It is precision-cut to match the geometry of the Killer Bee™ and installs without cutting or modifying the vehicle.

The Beehive™ creates a physical barrier between the Super Bee™ filter and the hot air and radiant heat of the engine compartment, helping prevent the intake from drawing heated underhood air.

Halltech testing has shown gains of up to 15 horsepower on C6 Corvettes when using the Beehive™ Heat Shield with a Halltech Killer Bee™ cold-air intake system.

Simple, No-Cut Installation

The Beehive™ is designed for a straightforward pop-in installation with a black OEM-style finish. No cutting of the radiator shroud or other vehicle components is required.

Once installed, the Beehive™ works with the existing radiator shroud to help seal the filter from the surrounding engine compartment.

Additional openings in the radiator shroud are not necessary. We specifically recommend leaving the shroud intact rather than cutting holes in an attempt to get more air to the filter. The Beehive™ is designed to control the air entering the intake system while keeping hot engine-compartment air away from the filter.
