Halltech's Cold-Core™ philosophy is to keep the intake air as cold as possible, for as long as possible. Cold air isn't just the name of the product. It's the objective.

This Cold-Core™ Beehive™ Heat Shield is specifically designed to fit C6 Corvettes equipped with the K&N 57-3052 cold-air intake. We precision-cut and form the shield to fit the C6 engine compartment, with the intake opening specifically cut to accommodate the K&N 57-3052 intake system.

The Beehive™ creates a physical barrier between the intake filter and the hot air and radiant heat of the engine compartment, helping prevent the intake from drawing heated underhood air.

Halltech testing has shown gains of up to 15 horsepower on C6 Corvettes when using the Beehive™ Heat Shield with a cold-air intake system.

Simple, No-Cut Installation

The Beehive™ is designed for a straightforward pop-in installation with a black OEM-style finish. No cutting of the radiator shroud or other vehicle components is required.

The intake opening is pre-cut specifically for the K&N 57-3052, so there is no custom cutting or trimming required during installation.

Once installed, the Beehive™ works with the existing radiator shroud to help seal the filter from the surrounding engine compartment.

Additional openings in the radiator shroud are not necessary. We specifically recommend leaving the shroud intact rather than cutting holes in an attempt to get more air to the filter. The Beehive™ is designed to control the air entering the intake system while keeping hot engine-compartment air away from the filter.

  • 2 barb fasteners
  • Edge trim for the front lip of the radiator shroud on either side of the intake tube
  • Gasket to seal the front of the radiator shroud

Tuning Information
  • This beehive heat shield is designed to require no tuning. Tuning, however, will result in an increase in horsepower and torque.

HallTech beehive shroud. I must say it's a fantastic addition to any cai  system on the C6. I'm sure for cost reasons k&n skipped this addition. The shipping presentation was really well done and thought out.  Really impressed with the attention to details of the box lettering  and packaging. The overall quality is very high end looking and like the Shroud belongs in the engine Bay Area.

I was able to install the shroud without any modifications. The trick with insulation is you have to kind of bend it down and forward. You also have to tuck it underneath the intake at the same time. It's a little tricky and tight, but it does fit.   You will push up when you're installing the pushpins as that's also tight, but will eventually perfect fit in place. I would personally want to have it, snug rather than looser.
