As indicated in the nomenclature, the Halltech 689 cfm filter is our proprietary high flow cotton-oiled-media filter for our C7 Stinger intake systems, manufactured by K&N. It also fits the Halltech Yellow Jacket as a replacement filter. Lingenfelter Engineering, Katech Performance, and K&N Engineering tested our filter several months ago vs. our standard filter and a full synthetic version of the filter. The results on the flow bench: Halltech's Stinger-689 cfm @ 1.5" H2O. The base filter now used on all StingerCKN and Stinger-Hybrids- 587.5 cfm. The synthetic version-399 cfm. We will be discontinuing the 587 cfm filter beginning with orders received in June.In stock. If your C7 is stock except for our StingerCKN or Hybrid intake, you will not need this upgrade for better performance We are seeing an average 14 RWHP/15lb-ft torque. If, however, you plan on mods such as headers, cam, etc. this filter will flow to 800 HP with no problem or restriction to flow. This was the filter Halltech tested at a 1/4 mile off road track and recorded 11.3 sec from 0-120 mph with our C7 Auto, with minor tuning and our Hybrid Stinger. For comparison stock filter flows 224cfm@1.5" H2O, and aFe's Momentum intake at 318 cfm @ 1.5" H2O. The Halltech ST-689 flows 216% more than the aFe based on their claim and 308% more than stock. No returns on filters.
  • Layers of pleated cotton filter media act as a physical barrier to contaminants, with pleats specifically engineered to provide a large capturing area. The tacky oil help trap, and hold, dirt and contaminants, keeping them in the filter and out of your engine. Pleated mesh protects both sides of the cotton filter media and provides a sturdy structure for long-lasting durability.
  • The filters are washable and reusable and should always be cleaned and oiled with K&N proprietary oil and cleanser specifically made for the cotton media.
