As of April 1st, emailTUNE® will no longer be available due to time constraints and conflicts with our distributors who make a living dyno tuning. We have been resellers for Carputing,LLC for several years, but we need to concentrate on manufacturing intake systems which has become overwhelming, with over 35 dealers Worldwide, and companies like Katech, LG Motorsports, Kooks Headers, Livernois Motorsports, and many other premier tuners now selling our products. Our emailTUNE® was in direct competition with our dealers, so we have ended this activity. Do it yourselfers can still get the same programming software and hardware by contacting www.Carputing.com to order LS1Edit or LS2Edit. Their pricing is $550 for their package, but you will need to know how to tune your car with this software, since no instructions are available. There are many other tuners out there that can help tune your car. Many of them can be found on our website under Dealers.
It has been suggested that Halltech's emailTUNE® was sold to circumvent GM's warranty, since it is so easy to reflash back to stock. We have never promoted this idea. Why then would you want to flash your ECM back to stock? How about the law? Legally, tuning cannot be done on any street vehicle, since EPA standards and CARB certification has not been met. When you program your ECM with Carputing software, that is what the LS2Edit EULA states. The term "Off Road" only means track, dyno, autocross, but not public highways. Racing, however, also voids the warranty if the racing is considered abusive by GM.
Carputing's LS2Edit program is fully reversible back to stock, but not to circumvent warranty issues. Tuning is your choice, your purchase, and how you tune your car, or when you restore it to stock is your business, not GMs. Break your motor, and try to pass off the car as stock, and it becomes GM's business and rightly so.
The bottom line here, is to keep your stock tune onboard when driving on the street, and the tuned version for the track only. This way, you are in compliance with EPA and CARB standards.
